The Dec. 14 performance of “Ain’t Too Proud” has been canceled “due to a breakthrough COVID-19 case” found in the company, the production said Tuesday.

In the statement, posted to social media, the production said it plans to resume performances with the Dec. 15 matinee.

“Ain’t Too Proud”’s cancellation comes amid rising breakthrough cases across Broadway companies. “Mrs. Doubtfire” canceled two performances on Dec. 12 and will remain dark through Dec. 15. “Freestyle Love Supreme” canceled shows on Dec. 11 and 13 after cases were discovered.

Ticket holders for the Dec. 14 performance of “Ain’t Too Proud” will be refunded at their point of purchase.

The production reopened at the Imperial Theatre on Oct. 16.
